What
Your Church Can Expect When You Schedule Richard Lee for Speaking
Engagements
For Pastors and Churches Only-
A Special Presentation...
Greetings
in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ! It is with great expectation and joy that I present this
information that you are now reading. I pray that it will clearly express the objectives of Richard Lee
Ministries in a way that will be edifying and also an encouragement to you and to your
church. The main purposes of this ministry are:
1) Exalting God in the act of true worship.
2) Evangelize your communities with a Gospel presentation in a way that they can relate to.
3) Building a Body of Christian Believers to conform to the image of Jesus Christ.
These objectives are best done with what I call the ABC's of ministry:
A- Apologetics "Always be prepared to give an answer to
everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have," (I Peter 3:15). Apologetics is the area of defending what
one believes and giving reasons for faith. Oftentimes, many Christians know what what they
believe, but few can offer rational defenses in such a manner as to resolve the doubts
of a skeptic. Honest doubts about the truth claims of Christianity are
often unanswered or answered inadequately because many pastors and laymen are ill
equipped with the knowledge necessary for such situations. Richard Lee Ministries is ready to assist in this area-answering inquiries about Roman
Catholicism, Mormonism, and Jehovah's Witnesses as well as nonreligious alternatives (atheism and humanism) which conflict with Biblical Christianity
in certain areas.
B-Biblical Studies Current Bible knowledge among professing
Christians in the United States is appalling. According to George Barna, 58% of those
questioned did not know who preached the Sermon on the Mount. Also, 42% of
Americans do not agree that "the Bible is the written Word of God, and is totally accurate in all that it teaches." (Barna, Frog in the Kettle,
p. 118). Enriching one's Biblical knowledge lays a foundation for one's
Christian faith. No one can be prepared to defend Christian theology using
scriptural guidelines if he/she is ignorant of the very written source from where that faith springs. Richard Lee Ministries is committed
to increasing Bible knowledge among your congregation. If your church sets aside each Wednesday evening
for Bible study, those nights can be opportune times for increasing general Bible knowledge. Aside from the uneasy task of verse memorization,
congregations will be better acquainted with little known facts and history surrounding the Biblical era by having those facts presented in an
interesting fashion. Background details and tidbits can be presented to
your people without the excessive use of textbook jargon. At last-Biblical
studies made user-friendly for laypeople.
C-Christian Evangelism and Discipleship Evangelism
today is done differently than previous decades. Traditionally, many evangelical
churches have assumed that sponsoring an effective preaching evangelist at a church
crusade or rally is THE main means towards obtaining conversions and commitments to Christ and Biblical values, thus resulting in increased long
term church membership. Unfortunately, this is no longer true in most
circumstances. Evangelism today can no longer be expected to be the sole responsibility of just the pastor, evangelist, or "expert" soul
winner. Christian evangelism must be delegated to individual church members.
Congregations need to be equipped with the correct methods for reaching the lost people that they are in contact with on a daily basis-people that most
clergymen will never meet. However, it isn't enough to just
"evangelize" the
lost, they must become disciples of Jesus Christ in lifestyle. The Gospel must be lived out in practical concerns such as caring for the poor and
oppressed, not just in maintaining a correct set of beliefs.
Tying the Three Together for Effective Ministry
Apologetics, Biblical
Studies, and Christian Evangelism and Discipleship- a balance of these three ingredients are necessary for building
a Body of believers to the glory of God.
"How
Can You Help Me?"
That
is what I want to know. This ministry was built to be of service to you, the pastors and the churches. What are your needs? Concerns?
Areas of emphasis you would like this ministry to address? I can help you equip
your own people with the resources from God's word so they can be champions for Christ. Let me be of service to you today.
